About Community OOSH Services
Welcome all mums, dads and kids past, present and future to Community OOSH Services. For those of you that may not be aware OOSH is a nationwide, generic name that stands for Out of School Hours Childcare. The OOSH childcare system allows you, as parents, to individually access Federal funding through the Commonwealth Covernments Child Care Benefits Scheme (CCB).
At Community OOSH we aim to "provide high quality care that is engaging and interactive, blending structured and unstructured play within the bounds of a safe environment. In a world gone mad with rules and regulations, we want the kids to be kids! There are many OOSH's offering some type of service, but the bottom line is...WE'RE MORE FUN!!!!!! Just ask the kids!
About Katrina and David
Co-ordinators Katrina Adams and David Bourke have a wealth of experience in childcare systems spanning more than two decades. Both are committed to working to bring National Childcare Accreditation Council Quality Assurance standards to their services.
Katrina was the pioneer coordinator of the OOSH systems in Coffs Harbour and has continued coordinating and administering them for the past 18 years. She has also done consultancy work with Network of Community Activities and the National Child Accreditation Council.
David Bourke, whilst being a Primary Teacher for 20 years, has had extensive experience owning and running Long Day Care Centres and After School and Vacation Care programs with his wife Leanne, as well as consulting work with the National Childcare Accreditation Council.
